We are a team of creatives who have worked on projects including Burning Man, museum exhibits, art installations, haunted attractions, theme parks and escape rooms. For us, Otherworld is the first iteration of many immersive projects to come. We are looking for talented folks to help create cool things. Current openings are listed below. Technicians will work under the Tech Director to integrate technical elements into the attraction. You must have entry level experience with wiring, soldering and using micro controllers like Arduino and Raspberry Pi. It helps if you have an introductory knowledge of Unity and Touchdesigner for projection mapping.

Pay: $15-18 per hour (DOE)

Hours: 20-40 hours per week

Scenic Carpenter

Scenic Carpenters will work on the fabrication, assembly and installation of set pieces, wall panels and other structures in the attraction. You must be a skilled craftsman with an eye for detail and passion for building imaginative sets. Use of traditional tools is a must, but it’s a big plus if you’re experience with digital fabrication and the operation of CNC routers and laser cutters.

Pay: $3,000 per month

Hours: 40 hours per week

Utility Artist

Utility Artists, you’ll work with the rest of the design and build team to bring vague concepts to fully realized installations. You should be well versed in a wide array of artistic disciplines such as sculpture, painting, drawing, fabrics and fibers. You should have extensive experience creating three-dimensional artworks and a passion for creating works that are democratic and fun for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Pay: $3,000 per month

Hours: 40 hours per week

Mechanical Fabricator

The Mechanical Fabricator will work alongside the Technical Director and the rest of the design and build team to integrate mechanical elements into the attraction. You must be skilled with pneumatics and servos, and be comfortable using traditional tools. It helps to have some experience creating mechanical elements for art and entertainment applications.

Pay: $3,000-5,000 per month (DOE)

Hours: 40 hours per week

Production Assistant

Production Assistants will work with various teams as needed to help meet deadlines. Scope of work will range from painting, pouring molds, picking up materials, cleaning the shop and more. No experience is necessary but should be somewhat artistically inclined and eager to work in a creative environment.

Pay: $12 per hour

Hours: 20-40 hours per week
